Engagement Announcement

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend, I've been busy working away on some engagement invitations for one of my friends. She asked me to do these up for her son and his fiance, I have to tell you using the amount of glitter that I did sure made a mess in my office and on me......I have vowed never to agree in using this much glitter again haha!

I had to fussy cut out each of the cards as well as the rings that are on each of them, I sadly do not have a silhouette cameo yet so had to make due with what I had (my hands). Despite that she and the family were very pleased with my work.

I used MDS to print the invitation part of the card, sad to say this program will no longer be available very soon but thankfully we can still use it for personal use, just not have it professionally printed.

Happy Friday

How is everyone's friday going so far? Well here in the wonderful world of white in Edmonton Alberta we are back to Christmas =( March has been a great month for us here in Edmonton but it was too good to be true I guess, and last night we got dumped on. Thankfully it's not super cold and even though we have snow we should hopefully be back to Spring again by next week so the forecast calls for anyhow.

I wanted to share a cute card I made, this one is a CASEd one that I have been seeing floating around my fellow team members so I created my own version of it but you might be familiar with the layout.

I really love this card, I used our chalkboard paper from the Occasions catalogue to cut out the thinlit, and then I used our washi sheets to create the hearts in the background however I still need to put them on paper to make sure they weren't so flimsy and create some stiffness.

Then to create the scribbles in the background I used our "Stampin Write Markers" and scribbled some background colors with 2 colors, I love the way this looks and will most certainly be using this method again.

Paper Pumpkin March 2015 - My Version

I am sure many of you received your Paper Pumpkin yesterday on your door step in the cute little Red Box it comes in, well I sure did and it was cute! SEW cute....as a matter of fact and I love that the main colors of it are Black. I really love black cause it can be combined with anything.

Well I used some of the stamps with the kit and some without, made a little different version of it cause I always like to think OUTSIDE the box when crafting....Hope you like it.

I love the coastal cabana with the black looks so crisp so I stuck with that and mixed that into my layouts.

Happy Monday

How is everyone doing today? It's a beautiful Monday afternoon the sun is out, windows are open and it feels like spring here in Edmonton. Now fingers crossed that it sticks around, we are supposed to be reaching +10 by the end of this week super exciting.

I am doing some prep time here in my office today for some upcoming events I have with my stamper crew! This is one I came up with that turned out very cute, our famous little sour cream boxes.....and I also explored around with one of our Paper Pumpkin kits (November) and came up with some new looks. Let me know what you think.

Hello Decor

How is everyone doing today, keeping warm out there! It sure is cold.....but the promising thing is that it should be warm by the weekend here in Edmonton anyway. Maybe Spring is in the air, here's hoping anyhow....hehe!

So I put together an 8x10 frame to hang in my office, I recently put together my hello life project kit which I love by the way and I had some left over product remaining (this is the case most times with my Stampin' Up kits, they always make sure you have enough) so I thought to throw together a frame with the same items to coordinate with my project kit, so they are hanging on my wall right next to each other. Sure looks great together!

I hand cut out my ampersand symbol by printing it on MDS as large as I could fit on the paper and then fussy cut it out. It was a bit of work but I wanted the ampersand symbol to be nice and large and this was my best bet in doing that, however if you have a Cricut explore or a Silhouette cameo at home well than you could have avoided this work and used that. I sadly do not own one of these items yet but I am working on it, it's on my birthday wish list =)

I also used my remaining letters from my Perpetual Birthday Calendar kit to add the Hello part to my frame, I'm telling you I love those letters they are perfect for any project and you get lots in your kit. You probably saw my perpetual calendar note cards I posted a few weeks ago those were so fun and simple to put together, the possibilities are endless with all the Stampin' Up kits we sell which I sure LOVE!!
